Injury Insight : Week 31


With lots of rumours regarding injuries, its important to get the right facts across to you from all the official statements from the teams.This article will be updated on a regular basis, right till the deadline on Saturday, as and when we keep getting any important information.

Lets get straight to team news & Injury updates :


Manchester City vs Sunderland :

Aguero is ruled out for the game against Sunderland due to a "stupid injury' as per Mancini.Also he went on to state that Tevez is not yet fit to play 90 minutes but " he can play more" It does seem that Dzeko and Mario will start for City against Sunderland with Tevez to feature for some time atleast.
Kompany is fit to play this weekend but Lescott misses out( will be fit to face Arsenal next weekend)

Sunderland will be without Wayne Bridge as he is ineligible under the tearms of his loan contract and cant play against his parent club.Richardson has returned to training this week and isnt ready yet.
John O Shea is out due to injury and Cattlemole is an injury doubt.

Blackburn vs Manchester United

Rio Ferdinand is fit after he was taken off against Fulham due to a back problem. Nani is starting to train this week meaning that he is still a few days away from full fitness.

Givet is an injury doubt for Blackburn.

Newcastle vs Liverpool

Tiote and Ryan Taylor have resumed training ahead of their game against Liverpool.

Charlie Adam has been ruled out for most of the remaining part of the season due to a knee injury.
Glen Johnson, M.Kelly and Bellamy are injury doubts.

Maxi Rodriguez has recovered from the illness which kept him out for the last game.

QPR vs Arsenal

Armand Traore is still out for at least another week. DJ Campbell and Heidar Helguson not quite ready yet as per Mark Hughes

Wenger : Koscielny is "90% yes" for QPR. Diaby remains sidelined

Wigan vs Stoke

Wigan hope Victor Moses will be fit for tomorrows match against Stoke.Mohamed Diame (groin) and Hugo Rodallega (knee) only have outside chances of playing.David Jones (knee) is now back in contention.

Huth is expected to shrug off dead leg while Woodgate is back in contention following calf injury. Fuller returns from suspension.

Everton vs West Brom

Jack Rodwell (hamstring), Seamus Coleman (thigh) and Royston Drenthe (leave) all likely to miss Saturday's game against West Brom.

Roy Hodgson press conference: Graham Dorrans trained yesterday, will hopefully train this afternoon, and should be ok.


Tottenham vs Swansea

Aaron Lennon will be back in the squad on Sunday


Aston Villa vs Chelsea

Alan Hutton is out with a calf injury.McLeish has to find a replacement in Lichaj or Herd.
N'Zogbia is out for another month and skipper Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia which will keep him out for this week.

Midfielder Raul Meireles is Chelsea's only doubt for tomorrow's Barclays Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
