The Blog : Status Quo

Hi all,

For the enquiries about "will we be posting previews for the yahoo fantasy game", we would like to inform that AM's and myself's first priority is to do justice to the blog and for that reason with us both tied up in family and work obligations would want to make sure that we can carry this blog till the end of the season. Right now, with how things stand, it won't be possible for us to write up previews each week so we would try and cover those weeks when it is. Apart from that we will be active like any other fantasy manager at NMA discussing the week ahead.
Thank you guys for your support!

Best of Luck for the new game and season!!!
Rohit.

Matchday Insight : Week 25

Firstly i apologize for not being able to post previews for the last 2 matchdays as i have been traveling extensively for work. It feels great to be back and free to watch a matchday without any backlog.

Good news for us managers is that Week 26 is a double matchday where Liverpool and Swansea play each other in a extra game due to the latter playing the Capitol one cup final. So you should barn door players from these 2 teams before their prices go up.

Lets get straight to Week 25 :

Matchday Insight : Week 22

Firstly, here's wishing everyone a very happy new year !!

Its been a long wait to this matchday in particular after we got the news of it being a double header for Chelsea and Southampton. For those who have just joint us, let me inform you that there is an extra match this matchday as Chelsea play Southampton at home on Wednesday.

Most of us must have changed our teams a million times in the last week with an overload of Chelsea and Southampton players and it does get tricky here as Benitez is famous for his rotaions. Chelsea have surplus of players for each spot.

Chelsea have had a terrible run in the recent 2 - 3 months. In the last 14 games they have managed just 4 wins, 4 draws and 6 loses. They have lost both of their last 2 home games ( against QPR and Swansea ). However on the plus side, on their day they can score as many goals they like. Just like the 8-0 against Aston Villa and 5-1 against Southampton.

Southampton on the other hand are coming into this match day with 2 draws in the last 2 away matches in the premier league.

Irrespective, more upside here with these two teams playing twice and we shall look at the best options to pick from these teams.

Lets get straight to our best picks this week :

Matchday Insight: Week 20

Outnumbered?.....I doesn't think so.
A well below par week for most of us the last time out as we all felt the pinch of rotation during the festive period by managers, or for that matter no rotation for Dzeko owners. These write ups are coming thick and fast, which is generally the case this time of year. Hopefully this weekend will fill a bit more in control with things clearer than the midweek matches. The matches after the jump.

Matchday Insight: Week 19

"Hear that Music?"
I'm writing this with a little over 3 hours left to the deadline as was busy with family & christmas past few days. Any how, no time for small talk so lets get down to the matchups and picks.

Matchday Insight : Week 18

Back after a long break from writing an article here and looking forward to a busy Christmas period for us fantasy managers as matchdays come by rather quickly.

It was good to see QPR register their first win of the season, hopefully it should get them on track from here on. Cazorla once again proved his talent with a hatrick against Reading. Liverpool clearly seem to be struggling to keep up with the top.

Looking forward to Week 18, lets get to the best matchups :

Matchday Insight: Week 17

Tada!....I'm Back!!
Hello everyone, I'm just going to start by saying that when it comes to double gamers its always safer to go with them rather than single gamers as they have a chance to redeem themselves even if they screw up in one match just like this last week.....Or I could be totally wrong as the Sunderland vs Reading match hasn't taken place yet. Anyway moving on from there we are back with everyone playing a single match with two teams totally absent and those being Southampton and Chelsea with the latter in japan playing in the club world cup. Lets see what we have instore for this weekend.
